Clips, cables and overlaps look minor until a windy night tests them. A practical guide to the details that matter.
A curtain is only as good as the way it is hung. Panels that look perfect in the workshop can flap, gap or tear if the fittings are an afterthought. The right small parts protect your investment.
Choosing the curtain
- Piggery curtain: for houses where airflow and temperature need managing.
- Warehouse curtain: for openings, bays and dividing areas.
The parts that hold it together
- Curtain clips / sliders, pack of 50: spread the load along the top edge.
- Curtain support cable kit, 20 m: carries the weight over long runs.
Overlap and wind
Panels should overlap enough that wind does not find a gap, but not so much that they become heavy to operate. For long runs, plan support points instead of relying on the fabric alone.
Routine checks
- Look for worn clips, loose cables and frayed edges each month.
- Clean gently with water and a soft brush.
- Replace small parts early; they are far cheaper than a torn curtain.
